Author and speaker Temple Grandin, PhD, explained the various sensory issues faced by young people who have autism, and the need for treatment to be tailored to those issues, during a talk at Psych Congress 2017.

"These things need to be studied based on the particular problem—sound sensitivity, visual problems, touch sensitivity problems."
