Rebecca Flood has left Ashley Addiction Treatment after serving as president and CEO of the nationally prominent addiction treatment facility in Havre de Grace, Md., since January 2018. David Nassef, who has been Ashley's board chairman for more than 15 years, is serving as interim president and CEO of the organization until a new chief executive is hired.
Flood, a longtime blogger for Addiction Professional of the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Learning Network on women's treatment issues and general industry trends, officially left her role at Ashley as of Sept. 1, after about a six-week leave from the organization. Prior to joining Ashley, she served as CEO at New Directions for Women for 13 years. Flood also has served on the board of directors at the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP).
Nassef's experience in the addiction treatment arena also includes having served as board chairman at High Watch Recovery Center and as vice chairman of the Connecticut Alcohol and Drug Commission.
