SamaraCare Counseling and Samaritan Counseling Center announced that they have merged to create a mental health services organization that provides treatment in the Chicagoland area of Illinois. The combined organization will offer options for secular and spiritually integrated care across diverse faith traditions, serving children, adults, seniors and families in six Illinois counties.
“By fully integrating into one organization, we enhance our functional strength and increase our capacity,” SamaraCare president and CEO Rev. Dr. Scott Mitchell said in a news release. “Now, we can provide more communities with more comprehensive care across an expanded service area.”
SamaraCare said in the release that it will continue its Mental Health Access Program, which increases the affordability and accessibility of its counseling services. MHAP provides reduced fees and subsidies for families and individuals in need of financial and emotional assistance.
