Universal Health Services on Monday announced the opening of Clive Behavioral Health, a 100-bed hospital in Clive, Iowa. The project was completed in partnership with MercyOne, an Iowa-based healthcare system.
At launch, the facility is offering inpatient behavioral health services for adults. Additional service offerings and units will be phased in throughout 2021, including services for children and adolescents starting in the summer. In addition to the 100 beds, located in six 16- and 18-bed units, the 83,000-square-foot Clive Behavioral Health includes space for intensive day programs, as well as outpatient care.
Clive Behavioral Health is led by facility CEO Mary Thompson.
With the opening of the new Iowa facility, UHS now operates 328 behavioral health facilities across the United States. The company’s portfolio also includes 26 acute care hospitals and 42 outpatient facilities.
