A Body Scan Meditation With Dr. Saundra Jain

In this installment of “Coping During COVID-19,” join Psych Congress Steering Committee member Saundra Jain, MA, PsyD, LPC, in a body scan meditation, a type of meditation which promotes greater awareness of the physical body.

“By checking in with our bodies, it helps our mind to settle, and allows us to notice any bodily sensations, any thoughts, any emotions that may be present,” said Dr. Jain, an Adjunct Clinical Affiliate for the School of Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin.
