Burrell Behavioral Health and Youth Bridge, a Fayetteville, Arkansas-based behavioral health group, are merging in a deal that will double the size of the latter’s 200-person staff within the next five years, according to a report in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
Burrell, a not-for-profit that operates in 17 Missouri counties, primarily has focused on treating adult populations. Youth Bridge, which operates in five Arkansas counties, will expand the provider’s ability to provide counseling and other services in schools. Together, the two companies will serve about 45,000 clients.
Growing demand for youth counseling, increased demand for treatment services in the otherwise-underserved northwest area of Arkansas were among the key factors for the merger, Burrell CEO C.J. Davis said, per the Democrat Gazette.
