BayMark buys 15 New England centers

BayMark Health Services has acquired 15 opioid treatment facilities from Health Care Resource Centers, Inc. (HCRC), located in three New England states. The transaction also includes a management deal for an additional center in Connecticut.

The privately owned HCRC and its three affiliated brands have been providing outpatient opioid use disorder treatment since 1989. Under BayMark, the centers will be branded as Health Care Resource Centers. HCRC operates in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine and is CARF accredited.

BayMark brings experience to HCRC in areas where the organization was planning to expand, including other medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options such as buprenorphine, said David K. White, PhD, chief executive officer, in a statement. BayMark plans to expand its geographic footprint nationally and now operates 95 outpatient locations in 26 states. Services include detox, MAT and counseling.
