First-Time Grantees Eligible for Drug-Free Communities Cash

May 30, 2019

Community anti-drug coalitions that have never received a grant under the Drug-Free Communities Support Program have until July 8 to apply for fiscal 2019 program funding. The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) expect that 150 grants of up to $125,000 a year for up to five years will be awarded in this round of funding.

The goals of the Drug-Free Communities Support Program are to establish and strengthen community collaborations to support coalitions working to prevent youth substance use, and to reduce substance use by addressing a community's risk and protective factors for use.
